Our Deacons

Bryan Benton

Bryan Benton serves our congregation as Deacon of Benevolence.  Bryan is Self-Employed and runs his own business. With the help of our congregation, Bryan sees that our member's physical needs are addressed as situations arise. In Mt 25 Jesus said, "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,  I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." As a church family we feel it is important to help those in need, and we are thankful to have a deacon like Bryan to coordinate this ministry.

Kenny Tucker

Kenny Tucker serves our congregation as Deacon of Education. Kenny serves over areas of education including our adult classes, children's classes and Bible Hour. This role primarily focusses on our adult class teachers and topics/texts, but he also provides support to those who coordinate our children's class and Bible Hour ministries.

Rick O'Dell

Rick O'Dell serves our congregation as Deacon of Evangelism. This ministry involves the ways our members and congregation reach out to the lost. Jesus said in Matthew 28:19  to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," This is a command that we as a church family take seriously. At some point, someone took the time to teach each of us, as Christians, the way to salvation. This is now our responsibility and privilege. We are thankful to have a person so passionate about reaching the lost like Rick to lead this ministry. 

Richard Prater

Richard Prater is the Deacon of the Growing Families.  Richard teaches the Growing Families class on Sunday mornings and also coordinates, with his wife Melissa, our annual Marriage Retreat.

Matt Tucker

Matt Tucker serves as our ​Deacon of Transportation.  This important ministry involves monitoring and maintaining our church bus for it's safety and reliability for those who use it.  Matt also helps facilitate our weekly contribution collection.

Torrey Waller

Torrey serves our congregation as the Deacon of Technology.  With all of the advancements in technology and this church's desire to reach the world with God's Word, Torrey oversees all processes that help us improve our worship service and allow others to view online.  This service has made it easier for our own members and for people worldwide to access our worship services and classes.

Brian Kanotz

Brian Kanotz is our Deacon of Missions.  He oversees our efforts in supporting mission work in Canada, Belgium, Nigeria, Liberia, and Haiti, as well as our support of the children's home, Hope Harbor. 

Daren Harris

Darren Harris is our Deacon of Fellowship. This involves a variety of yearly events that help us grow closer together as a church family. Daren also coordinates efforts intended to help newcomers to our congregation find how they can connect and serve.
